About GASS Built by Airsofters For Airsofters
GASS is a purpose built Airsoft site located near Thame on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border. The site has been operating
since September 2006 running very tactical based scenario style games. We take in 40 people per Skirmish day, and we run one
Saturday and one Sunday Skirmish day a month.
The Team
The GASS team comprises of Military, Ex-military and a experienced Airsofter. We use our experience to run military storyline based scenarios. But every now and then it’s sometimes good to play some traditional speedball or capture the flag games. All of us are keen Airsofters who play at other venues and events when possible as part of the GSO Airsoft Team. We take our ideas from other sites and share our original ideas with others too.
The Team: Site Manager - Mark Cole, PR/Marshall - Nige Wright, Marshall - Tom Coupland, Marshall - Phil Old, Webmaster - Owen Compton.
History
The site was founded by Mark Cole originally for the benefit of the Global Spec Ops Airsoft Team to use as a private site. But the overheads of the site would of been too much for the team to maintain. Therefore the site was opened commercially for Airsoft on the 24th September 2006. The site has always remained the official home of the GSO Airsoft Team as it’s original intended purpose.

GASS share’s the land with the Hornet Shooting Ground which is a clay shooting venue. Since the site opened many changes and modifications of the site have occurred from the building of new structures and fortifications, to the renewal and repair of existing ones. But not only has GASS grown but our ethos and regulars have too. What started as a humble airsoft site is now a strong airsoft venue with a solid regular community base.
